Edit: okay, some of you guys are getting the wrong idea. I am not saying this because I'm a piss poor Jason. Im saying this because for reasons like 2 days ago some buddies and I played all day for a good 30ish matches. In those matches I only died once (and the game crashed 2 times), only enough that one death was due to my friend running me over with the car.
I'm not saying this because I'm struggling at playing Jason, in fact I got a perfect match when I was originally writing this post. I'm saying this because I'm escaping every round when 2 months ago I would see only 1 or 2 people escape each round. The game has just gotten too damn easy. Im still seeing the perfect matches but its only by the really skilled.
I should also point out that I don't want to make Jason too OP. Thats why I'm preferring making incentives to stay long rather than buffing his abilities.
In the movies there was at most 1 person escaping each time. Before the last few months we often saw that happen in game as well. It was hard to find all the supplies and it was hard to get everything set up before Jason got you.
Now I’m seeing people get the car set up before Jason even has his shift up. I’m seeing very few perfect matches for Jason and I’m seeing the majority of councilors escape.
This is ridiculous. Each match should be a grind to escape and not ending in 5 minutes.
I’ve got some ideas that would help this happen (bold items are my favorite):
Bring back Jason’s grab distance. I know this will be unpopular but that was one of the big aspects that made Jason so OP in early game. This shouldn’t be necessary but if nothing else happens this could help a lot.
Speed up Jason. Counselors should not be able to outrun this guy so easily.
- Make it so shift is more controllable. Make it so you can slow it down and speed it up as you wish so it will be much easier to use for new players. This is my personal favorite.
*- Spread our the repair items. They should not all be within 3 houses of each other. *
*- Make Jason’s ability’s initially charge faster. This will help stop those super early escapes. *
Make Jason get enraged earlier. This one is not a major one as Jason rarely gets enraged. Maybe enraging him at the 10 minute mark would be better.
Give more XP for killing Jason/make it so Jason can be killed when enraged. Give the counselors a larger incentive for killing him.
-give more XP for lasting the whole match. This would give the counselors a larger incentive to not escape.
(Oh a unrelated side note: why the fuck can’t we stun this dude out of shift. )
On a more related side note: If any of these things are implemented we should be able to stun him out of shift just to make sure he isn’t too OP.
