My mother once said she needed to believe in God because it makes her worthy.
Post Body

Such fascinating insight yea? Christian’s draw their worthiness from Christ and or God. They can’t or don’t want to do the internal self worth work. So they put everything in the hands of a sky daddy. Their joy, finances, hope, self worth, health, EVERYTHING. Yet he’s make believe right so it’s all an illusion (a mental illness if you ask me). My take on this is that it’s easier to hand over your life to a make believe man in the sky then to take responsibility for it all. My parents did a lot of shitty things to us as kids under the guise of religion. Dr James Dobsons teachings were one of the many heinous ideals adopted in my childhood home. That along with molestation. I can imagine that at age 73 it’s very hard to look back on all that and admit your wrong and did a A TON of harm. However I can’t fathom the amount of mental gymnastics it takes to continue to shove, hide, and justify sooooo many lies!!! I only made it to age 32 before I started to self combust from the inner turmoil. Anyway that’s my take on things.
