It seems that everyone, whether sub, dom, or switch, keeps experiencing this. I myself have dealt with ghosting many times, both in short-spanned dynamics and full-blown long term MDLB relationships. If you go into different reddit communities like this one, you'll see them full of people seeking help on how to deal with this. How to move on from being ghosted out of nowhere by who appeared to be their one-and-only, the love of their lives. Some will disappear without a trace, others will block you everywhere when you least expect it, others will at least say some very few farewell words before instablocking before you can reply. It's a scarily widespread disease that you just have to accept if you want to have a dom-sub dynamic of any kind. Though it especially hurts in a gentler ond, like a mommy-little boy one, because of the level of vulnerability and emotional intimacy reached by both parts.
It kind of makes me lose hope for these kinds of dynamics. At this point, in my head, it's a matter of when it will abruptly end, rather than if it will happen.
