Someone just made a chess post elsewhere in the GFD redditsphere and that reminded me that I've always suspected chess enthusiasts might have a higher-than-average proclivity toward GFD than the average person.
I'm reminded of some interesting studies OkCupid did back in the day to find correlations between otherwise seemingly unrelated questions. (Specifically, they found that the question "Do you like the taste of beer?" was the most accurate indicator of whether or not someone was willing to have sex on a first date and they found that the question "Do you prefer the people in your life to be simple or complex?" to be the most accurate indicator of one's politics, even more so than overtly political questions.)
What other subreddits do you think have an unusually high correlation here? Maybe /r/catshuggingcats/?
