I've seen a massive increase in people commenting on posts with this type of snark or cuntyness. I find it very off putting. Especially when this sub only serves one basic function.

I think people are going to interact with this sub less if these types of comments are allowed to continue. I don't personally have a solution mapped out but I bet I'm not the only one who finds it a bit shitty to go to the comment section expecting to find the answer but instead find some condescending egotistical redditor bringing down the vibe.

Please keep in mind that these factors impact people's ability to understand a joke that replies on context for the punchline:

-What generation the joke is aimed at vs generation of the viewer.

-Cultural context specific to certain regions (ie country/ city/ global South or North, west vs east)

-Pop culture (a broad and ever changing culture, subject to its relevance in time)

-Some people are Neurodiverse. This means that they are less likely to understand subtly and implied meanings.

There are obviously other reasons, maybe we as community members should use basic empathy to keep that in mind.
