How to deal with burnout?
Post Body

I have clients and work on very complex products as an IC. There is zero support system as a non-employee, remote, no HR, time off whatever. I am working 13 hrs a day.

I do not want to get into the complexity of this project but it is full stack and has debuggers in 4 languages. Lets say I have an 80" standing desk full of monitors. It is also poorly written and adding features and making sure nothing breaks is terrible. Miles of old school Javascript, API calls, grpc, events, custom hardware, etc.

This is not the greatest setup, I know, but what can I do to avoid burnout? I get praised a lot by management but that can only go so far. No personal support system either.

I have a standing desk with a treadmil and stepper. I also do a bit of strength training every 10 min or so each hour.
