I work at Big Tech Co, and I recently had my "role eliminated". I was offered 90 days to find a new role within the company, and if I can't find one I get 6 months severance.
There have been multiple rounds of layoffs at my company, so it's unclear when they would stop doing them (if ever).
Unsure if I should spend the next 90 days doing interview prep and take the severance, or try to find an internal position and hope I don't get eliminated again (with a worse severance).
I think I might already have an internal position lined up FWIW, but for anyone else who has gone through layoffs:
Should I take the severance no matter what (i.e. it's only going to get worse here)?
