Hi all, I received this in a bag of coins and posted on Reddit coin collecting. It was suggested that I post it here as it may be of more interest here. They were able to identify it for me as a Hero of Pea Ridge civil war token by F. Sigel. It apparently is fairly rare due to the obverse and being white metal.
I am wondering if I should sell it on EBay or send out for proper grading and then on to an auction house?
I was told heritage auctions says it is a R-9 which means only 2-4 have ever been identified.
My interest lies in ancient coins mostly so this doesn’t have much collection value to me personally.
I’d like some advice and thoughts on how to proceed.
Thanks
