Grief Starting my Second Life

I started my second run of Exocolonist right after finishing my first. In go around number one I married Cal, and he died at 50 defending the colony. Seeing him again as a kid, and not investing in my relationship with him/ letting him be with Tammy is making me super sad! Like Cal!!! No!! We were so happy together and I saw you die!! I know this is supremely dumb, but it is an indicator of a well made game
