My gf has been stuck in an existential crisis for a decade, how can I help her?
Post Body

In a nutshell my gf is all things wonderful and sweet but she is often extremely hard on herself. When I first met her she was very honest and told me about mental state. She however refuses to see a therapist.

She constantly feels like she is not doing well in life this despite having a really good masters degree from a reputable university. Within 3 years of graduation she managed to climb the ranks and got a job with a cushy salary. Though in her opinion her current company is paying her lower then her peers in other places.

This is just one of the many things she is unhappy about herself. She feels started out too late in life and to be quite honest I'm not sure if money is even the issue.

She isn't a materialistic person to begin with. In fact she enjoys being low maintenance lifestyle. Her mind seems to stuck in an unending loop of not doing well in life, being in the wrong place and being a loser amongst her friends.

I see nothing wrong with ambition and wanting better things but I feel its unhealthy for her to keep thinking like this.

I'm not sure if this is partly because she grew up rather privileged, both her parents are doctors, never had to worry about money.
