Hi everyone! Just wanted to jump on and say I love how helpful this sub is. I just accepted a position as an EA to the COO of a large local company. I started and owned my business for 5 years, decided to close it down, took some time off, and started looking for a job a few weeks ago. During my interview, the COO told me he used to own a business years ago and he understood what I brought to the table. Said he had other interviews lined up, but that I was the perfect person for the role and he offered me a job on the spot.
It made all the years of blood, sweat, and tears I poured into my business worth it when I realized that someone recognized the value I can bring to an organization.
It’s my first EA job and I’m getting nothing but green flags from my interactions with him and the rest of the staff- I have a friend who I found out today works there, and she said it’s the best job she’s ever had. I’m starting on Monday and I’m really excited! Already bought a planner as some of the other threads have suggested.
Thanks for being a supportive group, and I know I’ll learn a lot from y’all!
Luckily my business was a bakery, so I 100% intend on winning people over with baked goods 😂
