Hi! I am a first time mom who welcomed the most adorable twin boys 3 weeks ago. Breastfeeding didn’t work well, so I’m pumping about every 3 hours or when they eat.
I’ve noticed recently that my boobs still feel very full even after pumping for 20/25 minutes. I have the spectra pump and have found that I have more milk flow when I keep the setting on let down or lower for longer.
I’ve also ordered the Freida mom massager / heater.
Any other recommendations for getting a bigger milk flow and feeling more deflated after??

I second this I was also using heat and massage to help empty my breasts ontop of hand expressing afterwards and it was clogged duct after clogged duct and I attributed it to just the fact that I’m an oversupplier and a side sleeper. I’ve talked to a couple L.C at the hospital when I go visit my baby and one told me cold for 10-15 minutes before and after each pump to relax the muscles cause heat can cause inflammation which will lead to more clogged ducts. Another one said to just use cold afterwards but I think that’s because my nipples hurts and cause shooting pains and lose color with too much cold. But I have y really had any problems with clogged ducts since I stopped heat treatments
