So my son is 8 weeks old and I feel like he is not eating enough. He is gaining weight fine now and having enough diapers but I just can’t help but feel that it isn’t enough? He eats every 3 hours in the daytime and then usually eats around 9pm and then again at 2:30am as he sleeps through that time. we supplement with formula due to a low supply. Every other bottle is breastmilk. I try my best to pump every 3 hours in the day time but it gives me the ick so bad to pump and he doesn’t want to nurse as much now since he figured out bottles are easier. I usually only end up pumping 3-5 times a day. I get 2.5-3oz total each pump. I am able to out 4-5 oz in the freezer every few days. I don’t wake up to pump through the night unless my baby wakes up to eat. Is my supply going to suffer from this or will it stay at the same as long as I pump my regular amounts? Idk how you all pump so many times a day. I get really disgusted by how pumping makes me feel (I hope I’m not the only one, idk how to describe this, nursing doesn’t make me feel this way, only pumping). I decide not to pump every 3 around the clock as I don’t want to overproduce if he is not eating that much during the night. Not having any issues with engorgement, just slightly sore breasts if I go like 11 hours in between pumps.
