I broke up with my ex after we got back together when he broke up with me.

When we broke up, I suspected that he may do drugs again. He had been sober for years before we dated but from what he told me led him to to drugs, I suspected that our breakup would lead him back to drugs.

My suspicions were correct when we got back together. He said it was his first relapse but he was very defensive about me finding out (I found him and stayed with him until he was sober).

We broke up again over the same issues as before. He’s avoidant and has narcissistic tendencies. Despite everything I’ve done for him, I still have love for him and the idea of him being back on meth frightens me.

I want to call him to check in and ask if he’s stopped using meth. He barely has friends and hides a lot of his struggles. My friends told me that his problems are not mine but it hurts me knowing that he’s potentially hurting himself.
