Hello! I am at a dilemma on what to do with the my defense general. I'd like something that is more reliable to ascend while still being viable and relevant in battle.

Castle Summary: Currently I'm keep 36, 1.2B power, 120k T1 calv, and working on T14 and layers. For all T11-T13 I have a million of each troop type including siege. Currently T14 is not unlocked. T10 below I have 100k of each except for T1. Working on ascending duty officers at the moment and want to ascend my first wall general.

Current Wall Generals/Assistant: My main defense wall general is Zachary Taylor and I pair him with Dewey, however, the trouble is ascending Taylor and I have no ground stats or siege stats from Taylor. My plan was to buy William Marshal from the general invitation (I have 500 saved up) and use Taylor as my assistant; however I will run into the ascension problem that I have with Taylor.

Should I hold off on marshal since I know I'll never ascend him (much if at all)?

I have Leonidas at my disposal but the same dilemma.

Should I run a Boudicca/Robert the Bruce, Robert the Bruce/Jadwiga, or what I was leaning towards Robert/Dewey?
