Why can we only play half a match?

What the title says. I can’t remember the last match that we actually played even a decently strong first half. We let up goals early, fall behind, and then we have the claw our way back, only to find it’s too little too late. We’ve played some amazing second halves, but one good half isn’t enough to make up for the shite of the first.
I genuinely don’t understand why this keeps happening. Is it literally just Rafa’s tactics? How can we fix this problem?
