Missing Seamus (Club Captain), DCL, Richy, Siggy, James and Pickford; James reasons unknown, but still. 4 guaranteed PL Starters and 2 other pretty well qualified. My take?

A) The first L is out of the way so no misguided high hopes like we had under Carlo.

B) This is the beating our defense needed to tighten up. They were expected to provide the cover in front of net.

C) I don’t blame Rafa. The squad was there for 60 minutes and short handed. He did was he could with what he had.

Take this L as a shrug off away loss early. A reminder that our defense can be strong at times but we lack composure to maintain.
