I cannot believe the audacity of Evernote to suddenly restrict free accounts to a measly 50 notes and one notebook! Are they insane? Do they really think this draconian limit will convince people to pay for a premium account? Get real, Evernote!
50 notes is nothing - that will be used up in a week by even the most casual user. And only ONE notebook too? What is this, Evernote for ants? How am I supposed to organize anything with a single notebook? Do they expect us to just create a giant dumping ground of randomness? Utterly ridiculous!
This change comes out of nowhere and shows no respect for Evernote's longtime users and supporters. Many of us have spent years building up intricate systems of notebooks and notes on the free plan. Now Evernote pulls the rug out from under us and expects us to pay up or lose access to our hard work? Shameful!
Upgrading is not a simple option either - Evernote's premium plans are too expensive for most casual users. In these tough economic times, $8 a month is a lot to ask. And don't even get me started on their sneaky pricing that makes you pay for a full year upfront!
In summary, Evernote can take this 50 note limit and shove it where the sun don't shine! This short-sighted move will only backfire by alienating their loyal user base. Get ready to see your growth stagnate, Evernote! You greedy fools.
Evernote Fan boys downvoting me big time.
You are saying this because you haven't checked out other note taking apps out there like Obsidian, Notion, Upnote, Joplin etc.
They are miles ahead when it comes to functionality and performance.
I was free user, upgraded to premium, and when they messed up the prices. Still continued to use for free. And still was my main note taking app.
But currently, it's outdated, overpriced and lack all kinds of features.
All Evernote fan boys should check the trending note taking apps like Obsidian, Notion, Upnote, Joplin, OneNote etc. That blows Evernote out of the park.

Thank me later but all of them are miles ahead than Evernote.
