Need high alpha in your F1 monkey squad? Time to settle for the Hurricane/HFI, which are slower, have worse resists, less tank, and limited range with a sig the size of a dump truck.
Wanna be the fastest fleet on grid? Enjoy flying cerbs with 25k EHP, because you need overdrives and sebos and rigs now. Oh and lower alpha because no muninn kiting at 50-100km either.
Just want a cheap ship for you and your closest 150-200 friends? Don't worry, the Eagle has worse alpha, is damage locked, and actually requires capacitor to use all your shit all the time. The Ferox exists too, I guess, if you can't afford 150m HACs.
For four goddamn years, every time I've come up with something new for fleet comps in pyfa the first question has been "Does it beat muninns?". And so long as the Muninn had 2,500m/s movespeed & 3k alpha with everything else on top, the answer was so very often "Nope."
There are now so many more avenues that can get opened up in the meta, and when a group starts to throw a single comp at all their problems, there will actually be avenues to utilize hard counters in order to keep them honest. Feels. Good. Man.
