Bored at work and thinking about how our lives in eve compare to our real lives. I was I thinking about how there are controversial methods for getting materials out out of the Earth such as hydraulic fracking, which has major environmental impacts. What if there was a special mining module that was illegal or "regulated" in highsec, it would be faster than strip miners but would have a possibility of destroying the asteroid you are trying to mine. On top of the chance of destroying the asteroid, since it is illegal, its use would trigger a PvE spawn of the faction navy whose space you are in. You would need to bring some friends along to battle it out with the navy while you mine with your new harmful toxic mining super laser. It could have a much higher chance of destroying more rare ores to discourage its use in null sec a little bit. I think making it possible to have a more active mining experience or a mining activity that requires you to bring friends rather than day tripping the wormhole that opens in your home system once in a blue moon. How do you guys feel about this? Obviously this is a very rough idea that probably has some huge flaw I'm failing to see, but I think it'd be cool.

Edit: maybe using it should make you a suspect so that it could turn into a potential PvP opportunity?
