Worth starting in 2024 as a solo player?

--Just triyng to get some oppinions, besides youtube--
So I've always looked at eve online but never played it, and it gathered my interest again.
But I am wondering; I heard its huge and has a lot of player run things, so I was wondering, is it worth getting into in 2024 as a solo player?
Or is it best played with friends?
Or would it be recommended not to even start at all?
