Ticket from Amsterdam > Paris is much cheaper than from Rotterdam, but it's the same train. Can one just get in at Rotterdam?
Post Body

Do they check tickets when you get in, or do they do random checks when you're already on the train?

If they check when you're already on the train, then they could never prove if I've been on the train all along, and why should they care?
