The European Federalists subreddit is proud to announce the first of hopefully many expert AMAs.
The European Union slipped from crisis to crisis in the last decade. To make Europe more capable in dealing with today's challenges could be through federalization and greater citizens engagement. But what does federalism mean today for Europe? What tools do we need for citizen to engage? The subreddit invited Pietro De Matteis for a conversation. He is the former president of the European Federalist Party, one of the founders of Stand Up for Europe, city councillor in Brussels and advisor at the EU's diplomatic service. He has also developed a new platform called PowerCrowd that will make it easier for like-minded individuals and organisations to meet and for local initiatives to form, exchange and connect at European and even global level.
The AMA will start on March 6th 2019, 16:00 CET. You can ask Pietro anything concerning Europe, federalism, local activism and his new platform.
Edit: Pietro is u/European1983. You can already start asking questions. He will try and answer as soon as possible.
Edit2: We will leave this Thread open for some more days. Pietro will try to answer as many as possible. But a councillors day can be busy, please be patient.
Edit3: The thread is closed now. Iād like to thank Pietro for taking the time and Iād like to thank all of you as well for taking part. We will try to have more AMAs in the coming month! Subscribe and keep your eyes open!
