Sunscreens that won’t cause sweating/sweat pooling

Hello!

I recently moved to Europe from the US and am only JUST learning about how the US sunscreen market is really far behind the rest of the world w/r/t options available.

My main problem with the sunscreens (from the US) that I have and have been using, is how they often cause me to feel like I’m sweating so much more since the sweat will pool once applied. I don’t even mind the sunscreen running and needing to reapply, I just can’t handle how much more it seems to make me sweat and how awkward it can be in public.

Are there any go-to options available in the EU I should check out that can help me avoid this issue? Light/no fragrance is best since I’m not a fan of sunscreen fragrance in general and they tend to attract flies. Thank you for any/all suggestions!

I had this same issue! I thought sunscreen for the face was just the same sunscreen as for the body, just marketed differently and jacked up in price. I was fine all winter and spring, but this summer was a struggle. I really thought I had a sweating disorder or something!!

I've now switched to La Roche Posay Invisible Fluid, and it's made such a difference. I still sweat but a normal amount - it doesn't pool into big droplets and drip down my face anymore.

I use a light moisturiser when I get out the shower which has fully absorbed by the time I'm ready for the day. I then use SPF. My skin is pretty dry so I can't skip moisturising!
