Thank you everyone to all of your input a few months ago. I was deciding if I should move up to Eugene a few months back, and I sincerely appreciate everyone's feedback on this sub about what it's like up there especially for a black man like myself. I visited Eugene late January. I liked it a lot. I visited Skinner Butte Park (amazing) walked around downtown, and stumbled upon this tea shop Tea Chai Te (I think now it's called Portland Tea) and absolutely liked the environment there! After viewing UO campus, and experiencing the overall friendliness up there, I decided I'm going to move. My job is already secure. I'm just looking for a place to rent for the time I'll be living there, and I'll make that move. I couldn't have done it without you guys. Thank you again for helping me feel safe & welcome in Eugene. I'm sure I'll cross paths with many of you soon.
