I got a message from a customer saying:
“Hi! I've been hearing a lot about etsy sellers striking tomorrow because of the increased fees that sellers will have onto them. Sounds like a real good reason to strike! Happy to etransfer you and move our exchange off the platform if you'd like. I would etransfer you the total of 2 custom caps tax and shipping just like regular. Otherwise, happy to order from your etsy shop.”
I do not plan to strike and was honestly unaware this was happening. I haven’t been making many sales lately so I haven’t devoted as much time to Etsy. Obviously if I respond to this and I encourage this it is fee avoidance. If I respond to her via email and have no further communication via Etsy I am assuming I’d be okay to go ahead with this? I wouldn’t even respond to the Etsy message. It would obviously mean a bigger sale for me however I don’t want to mess around with Etsy and risking anything happening to my shop. Best to stick to Etsy or to proceed off of Etsy?
