Handmade Success?

I’d love to hear from sellers that are having good success with purely handmade products (not digital, POD, or supplies).
I have a garment shop that sells custom costumes and would love to kick it up a notch. What are your best marketing techniques and was there a tipping point where sales really started flowing? What did you do?
I’m currently making about 10% of my regular job’s income in profit from Etsy but I would love to eventually go full time.
