Trying to ship USPS to a street address with "1/2"

I have a customer with an address like:
123 1/2 Happy St.
USPS is not allowing the "/" character in the label. Will writing "One Half" in the field for apartment/suite work? As in:
123 Happy St.
One Half
Any other suggestions? My customer says everything she gets says the 1/2 so she doesn't know what to do.
