At the time of writing this, the police have found an unidentified male body and have confirmed identity they will not reveal to the public until the family is notified. Whether this turns put to be him or not, I want to put my thoughts and experiences with Etika on here to try and help myself through this.
My buds and I were all getting stoked over a little game called Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/WiiU. When it came out, I was having a blast. When they unveiled the first DLC fighter for the games, I got super excited as a diehard Pokémon fan and as someone who didnt own a gamecube at the time. That was the first time I ever thought to look up reaction videos. You know where this is going. Upon seeing his reaction, not only did it make me laugh my ass off, but the passion he showed for the game got me hooked onto his channel, where I went back and watched his older videos, and all the others as they came, primarily riding first class on that Smash 4 hype train. I also experienced his (partial) playthrough of Fire Emblem Awakening, which I also enjoyed. I have watched him play tons of other games, be a news channel, talk about the lack of length of certain sandwiches, become the padawan to an angry chef, and form my favorite group of gamers ever, the Joycon Boyz. His excitement, humor, and generally happy and fun persona made him my favorite streamer ever (also hes the only streamer I actually watched). I was a sponsor until his channel got taken down (the first time). Desmond, if you're still out there, please get help, I hate seeing this stuff happen. However, if this is the end, I am proud to call myself a life-long Joycon Boy.
Brace yourself my dude. I don’t want to be pessimistic, but rather a realist right now. Good on you for venting everything and remembering fond memories. Just prepare yourself and stay strong
