Hi all, hope your enjoying your Sunday afternoon.
Iām (M 27 from UK) currently planning a bag packing trip through east Africa (Feb 2023) and was planning on starting my journey in Ethiopia (fly into Addis Ababa).
My plan was then to head south onto Kenya over the course of a few weeks.
Was hoping to understand if this is a sensible decision or not given the current conflict in Ethiopia? I appreciate most of the conflict seems to be centered around the Tigray region and as far as I can see the south is relatively unaffected.
Could you guys give any advice as to whether traveling around Ethiopia at the moment is a sensible decision? If so are there regions or areas to avoid? Do you have any recommendations for places to visit?
Cannot wait to (hopefully) visit your wonderful country. Hugely grateful for any assistance or advice here!
