So over the summer I was have casual dates/sex with someone who is monogomous (but single). After a month I decided to cut it off as we were both becoming quite attached and could sense feelings growing (I'm in an ENM relationship and he wants to find a monogomous relationship).
I regretted it a few days later and tried going back on this decision (dumb I know). We then spent a few weeks in a weird place where we were flirting but both knew continuing to be intimate would be a bad decision. One day I uploaded a pic to instagram and he popped up to tell me how beautiful I am. We then exhanged multiple messages where it was implied that we still had crushes but the next day he just ignored my messages.
A few days later I decided to block him for my own sanity as I didn't want to risk him suddenly deciding to message me again. I unblocked a week later but ofc now no longer follow each other on socials because blocking automatically unfollows. A few months have passed now and I feel a little guilty about how I handled things.
Should I reach out to apologise? I think we could have been good platonic friends but my pride doesn't want to risk being ignored by him for a second time
