I met someone in real life that I’m very interested in. I don’t know how to let him know that I’m ENM with my partner and that I’m interested. I’ve never had to do this before as I’ve always met people on apps. I am assuming we should proceed as friends and then the opportunity might arise? He did ask me if my partner lived separately from me. I told him we do share a home but that she mostly lives in our apartment nearby. I said that our relationship is not conventional but regret now not being more clear. He’s seemingly single and told me he had a big breakup earlier this year.

We’ve hung out twice recently and the second time felt more like a date in some ways. He wanted to spend more time with me that day but I had to go. He’s coming to a party at our house tomorrow and I want to be able to ask him if he’s interested in spending more time with me somehow. Idk. Part of me is just really scared of rejection because as much as I’ve wanted a bf I’ve had terrible luck with finding someone.
