What makes Ethereum classic so valuable?

I see posts in this thread about how eth classic will be at 200-400 dollars by the end of the year. Is this price prediction or are these predictions accurate? A majority of my portfolio is Ethereum right now but I have been thinking about putting some of that into Eth classic.
