Since we have a whole ETC chain sort of sitting here with lots of spare transaction capacity and currency with real value, I'm thinking of starting a sort of token-of-the-month club. Basically, every so often we would design, launch, and play around with a token with interesting properties, as a sort of money-based art project. Most of them might not be that great, but perhaps we'll eventually hit on a killer app.

This post is to gauge interest and collect some token ideas. Here are a few of mine:

• Basic Income Token: anybody on the list of people gets some periodically.
• Karma Token: A token that someone hands out in proportion to Reddit karma.
• Complement Token: A token redeemable for one complement.
• Thursday Token: A token that can only be exchanged on Thursdays.
• Flow Token: A token that represents a flow of value, rather than a unit of value.
• Bad Token: A token that has negative value.
• Secret Token: you get some but nobody tells you the contract address and you have to find the token on the chain with your blockchain detective skills.
• WikiToken: the blockchain-based token that anyone can edit.
• Bid Token: people can out-bid you for your tokens and steal them.
• 1% Token: the top 1% of addresses get to siphon off tokens from the bottom 99%.
• Bool Token: you either have it or you don't.
• Communist Token: the proletariat owns the means of token production.
• Negative Interest Rate Token: you have less of it every day.
• Space Token: token supply expands with the volume of the observable universe.

A bunch of these would depend on having a list of participants mutually believed to be unique, hence the need for a club.
