What is the plan when Casper comes?
Post Body

I have a strong feeling that most, if not all PoS opponents in the larger Ethereum community are among the supporters of ETC. I think that some of the core ETC ideals such as immutability and resistance to EF centralization resonate well with those who oppose Casper. Beside, I have seen a lot of anti-Casper posts in /r/EthereumClassic, but none on /r/ethereum. This doesn't mean that all /r/EthereumClassic participants are necessarily against PoS though.

On the other hand, from what I've seen so far, the intentions are to follow forked Ethereum development and updates, except those that mutate the state of the blockchain. Which probably means - merge Casper when it comes. Also, either way ETC will have to fork - either to merge in Casper, or to remove/prolong the difficulty bomb.

So what is your opinion on this? And what is the ETC Dev Team's stance on this matter?

Personally, what I think will happen are two ETC implementations, one with Casper, the other with dissolved difficulty bomb. Which will suck on the one hand, because yet another split will hurt ETC, but will be awesome on the other hand, because everyone still gets to be true to their ideals.
