Today I looked at my mining rig (5x 1070 and 1x 3060Ti) and noticed that out of nowhere the 1070s were doing significantly more hashrate than before. When they were new 4 years ago, they did around 32-33mh/s. Over time that slowly dropped. I thought that was normal due to the increasing DAG file size. They’ve been around 24-25MH/s for the longest time. Then today they’re doing 32.4MH/s out of nowhere. What the heck is going on? WhatToMine says they should be doing 25. How are they doing 7 more than normal with the same OC settings??
UPDATE: Figured it out lol. Somehow I got to mining ETC. No idea how as I haven’t touched the PC in a while. Too bad too because I was excited about free hashrate. Back to your normally scheduled programming.
