First post! Before my dad and I cut off communication (his decision, at first) we had what I would have considered a very good, hours-long phone convo (I live out of state). During this convo, he happened to admit something that I wonder if anyone else has heard spew out of their parents mouth… he told me that if he could go back in time “to live a perfect life” he “would’ve never had kids”. Anyone else have a parent that told them something that to effect? Sorry if you have. Children, no matter how old we get, don’t deserve to be told that. And my stepmom just co-signed too, doubling down, she told me “oh every parent thinks that at some point”. Nah sis. They don’t.
