After reading some posts on here I have realized that I have been misclassified as 1099 instead of a W-2 employee and finally today I asked my boss about it. She said i’m an independent contractor 1099 and when I asked her if she could change me to W-2 she asked me why??? And then when I explained to her that I believed this whole time that I am an employee she said why do you think you’re an employee😭 By the way I don’t set the prices, I don’t buy any of the supplies, I don’t rent a room, I am told what time to come in, what to wear, when I can stay and go and how to do my job. I am literally working in her spa that she owns and she is my boss, I am an employee! She said she would let me know what she can do but honestly thinking of just not showing up anymore. What do you guys think?
