Hey folks, I'm having some trouble with some QuinLED-An-Quads that I have built and I'm hoping you might be able to help me figure out how to troubleshoot. They seem to work fine, except that they just turn themselves off and on every couple of minutes. Here's the behavior I've observed:
- Home Assistant shows "has become unavailable" for about a second, then
- The lights turn off for a half second or so and then come back on (if I have two strips connected to two outputs, they both blink on and off together), then
- The ESPHome logs show a connection error, but I don't know if that's a symptom or the problem:
- WARNING quinled3 @ 192.168.4.83: Connection error occurred: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer
- INFO Processing unexpected disconnect from ESPHome API for quinled3 @ 192.168.4.83
First, I have to admit that I am very inexperienced with building such things from scratch, this was definitely a "stretch" project for me, it's the first time I ordered custom PBCs and the first time I tried soldering such tiny components, and frankly, I barely understand Ohm's law and electricity still confuses me. So, I'm hoping you'll take pity on me.
I do have several years' experience with ESPHome and Home Assistant. My ESPHome experience has been mostly limited to small projects like attaching a motion sensor to a D1 Mini, although I have built my own window shades, which work great, but I had a good YouTube video to use as a starting point.
So, here's what I know so far. I built eight of these at the same time using the same components and they're all behaving the same way. I started with a 12V 2A power supply and have now upgraded to a 12V 10A supply. The barrel connectors are rated for 10A. The wire from the power supply to the boards are all 18 AWG. The board is MH-ET-Live ESP32 Development board. My versions of Home Assistant and ESPHome are all up to date but the problem has been ongoing for the last two years. I'm using two different light strips, both 12V Tape Light, UL Listed, 30 LEDs/m.
I've Googled the error, [Errno 104] but I couldn't find any discussions that seemed relevant to me. So, I don't know if there's an electrical problem that's causing the disconnection, or if there's some sort of network issue that's causing the disconnection.

I'd appreciate any guidance anyone can provide. Thank you.
