The red dot mounted on the handguard clips into and blocks the sight in the scope - i'm pretty sure that's why.
Needs the pointy end muzzle, and the night scope with -5% recoil. Heard from a friend.

Shotguns are by far the easiest to get lvl3 mastery on, given how you can get 20 points for leg meta'ing a Scav with flechettes. And Saiga is awesome once you have access to at least the 10-rounders.

It's hard to see here in this screenshot, but the scope is entirely blocked by the 4th red dot, the one mounted on the handguard. Yes, there are 5 sights in total there...
