I typically play in groups. I prefer having one teammate, but I'm ok with groups of three, or an occasional four if an additional friend wants to join for fun. Generally, I feel more comfortable playing the game if there's someone to chat with or at least watch my Discord stream as I ditch their gear in a safe spot after they die. Also, it's fun to be praised when you clutch after staying alone against a group that killed your friends. If something funny happens, it's also a laugh on Discord stream for everyone.
Big streamers who play alone I totally get, they have an audience that provides that sense of someone being there and watching / sharing / clipping memorable moments.
On the other hand, when I play alone I just feel like it's not worth it. There's nobody to chat with, nobody to share loot or PVP success / stories with. Generally, I prefer having company in the game. The only time I play alone is early wipe when I don't want to share scav kills for quests with anyone (faster progression).
That being said, you folks who play alone exclusively. What motivates you to grind / play the game? Do you have that feeling of "loneliness" in the game?
Exactly, it's insanely tiring. The current audio situation doesn't help either. Just adds on top of the existing headache.
I'm not playing with random people. I'm playing with friends and we have clear rules that don't need to be explained. You loot your kills, what's left is for others to take. Typically I leave stuff for mates who have less money than me. I would never, ever play Tarkov with people I don't personally know. Getting mad when you're killed is normal, we all get mad, so I don't mind that.
I agree, it's way more tactical and enjoyable. Everything above that sometimes feels like a massive headache.

In duos we rarely talk about anything BUT what's happening in the raid. It's also super immersive if you have a teammate who knows how you think and what you're going to do next. For example, I will suppress while my teammate rotates around cover to flank whoever we're engaging.
But yea, I've had raids with 5 people and that completely destroys the immersion. I spend more time explaining to people where I am (just for them to ask me again in 5 seconds) than focusing on my next move. It's a literal headache, constant noise and pressure.
