The dim light of the room flickered softly as I stood by the window, looking out at the city below. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could feel my heart racing as the sound of footsteps approached from behind.

I didn't turn around; I didn’t need to. His presence was undeniable, a magnetic pull that sent shivers down my spine. His warm breath grazed the back of my neck, causing my lips to part slightly in response.

"You always know how to make an entrance," I teased, feeling his hands slide gently around my waist, pulling me closer.

“And you always keep me waiting," he murmured, his voice low and teasing. I could feel his smile against my skin as his fingers trailed lightly along the edge of my dress.

I turned to face him, our eyes locking, the tension between us electrifying. "Well, some things are worth the wait," I whispered, inching closer until our lips were just a breath apart.

“Let’s find out,” he whispered, closing the distance, and everything else faded away.
