I was a successful adventurer. But, being a magic user came with its own set of interesting risks. I'd gotten myself in a position where I'd been given a title (a minor noble one). Wealth and things were going well. But on my last quest I'd gotten hurt quite badly. I needed a companion. Someone to keep the enemies and monsters away from me. And my family were reminding me that now I was a baronet I was expected to have some servants and a slave.

And so, I bought you. A bodyguard. The world was a dangerous place. And not all adventurers made it. Some were captured and sold. Others got into too much debt. Either from medical bills or just from starting up. Some were just the wrong race. I looked for someone specifically who was good with a blade. Someone who could be that companion on a quest. I never wanted to quest with another. But this would be a good alternative.

Our world used magical contracts to bind owners and slaves. Stuff that couldn't be broken and enforced the loyalty. No one worried about slaves running away. But what neither of us expected was the romance. The love.

SO, I'm looking for a romance story, but with the master slave dynamic. In RPG terms, a magic user male master and a tank female slave. That's the set up! With a cute romance but a power imbalance. She is suffering some sort of trauma from her enslavement. Who is she? A proud elf brought down? An orc? A tiefling?
