The rain falls, drowning the world in its pitch black skies and sea of dreariness, much like the storm that raged on inside the young man as he lay admits the smouldering rubble.

With his shoulder length brown hair now stained black from his own shed blood and cinders that once was his house, thick crimson red blood poured violently from the many deep cuts that were scattered across his scarily pale body. The cracking of thunder echoed through the skies with such violence that Zeus himself could of easily been mistaken to be the one hurtling them through the night. In one last desperate attempt to escape the nightmare he found himself in, the young man dug his blooded right hand into the dirt, trying to pull himself free from what was his house.

Suddenly, a series of claw marks slashed across the back of his hand, instant pain and torment ensued as Lars could feel bone and tendons being cut through like butter. As his yell of suffering was cut short by a yellow fur hand clutching his throat, the predator that hunted him had finally caught its prey.

“My my you’re a tough one be to die, aren’t you champ.” Cheetah said as she lifted the young man from the rubble by his neck.

With his knee length trench coat and one dark green hoodie permanently dyed with his own blood, Cheetah suddenly slammed her claws into Lars left shoulder, letting him go by the neck as she did. He fell to the floor, crying out in pain as he did.

“I’m so glad Luther managed to stumble upon this little paradise dream of Diana’s.” Cheetah said smirking as fresh blood trickled across her fur. “Didn’t anyone ever tell you how dangerous it is to date a surprised hero? A little boy like yourself would only get hurt.”

Cheetah suddenly back handed Lars across the face, leaving the scratch marks across his cheek.

“And look what happened, you got hurt.”

A smirk suddenly came cross her face.

“But don’t worry squirt, I’ll make you end quick, but just long enough for you to hurt Diana more than I ever could.”

Raising her claws with a farce look in her eyes, Cheetah readied herself to add another kill to her count.

Suddenly, Cheetah was thrown backwards across the scorched grass of the front garden. Looking up, she the thunder crack across the sky, the silhouette of Wonder Woman cradling her beloved.

“I will you not let you die her alone.” Diana muttered to a barely conscious Lars. “How dare you Minerva, you monster, you thought you could take what’s mine!”

Lightning began to shoot across the sky like nothing before, while the ground began to rumble and crack beneath her feet.

“I don’t give a damn about your obsession to hurt me! I swear, even is Lars does die today, and even if every last drop of my blood boils away you will pay for this disrespect! I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN WITH HIM!”
