(Alternate reality and not historically accurate) It was the year 1347 AD. After many decades of war and ravaging, The Christians and The Muslims have come together to write a declaration of peace. It would be known as the Constantinople Convention Act.

Where by the Sultan, would make me, Prince Shamim, marry a Princess from any of the European kingdoms.

I was 4th in line for the throne. I had little hopes of becoming Sultan. Instead I was forced into the army, as a measure to prevent political strife within the royal family.

I quickly made my way into the navy and lead several campaigns across the Mediterranean. Trading and negotiating with various merchants.

You would have heard many stories about me. How I was cruel and a savage. Of the battles I won, of my greed and how I tricked many merchants into buying from us at absurd prices and getting ripped off. About my lust for women.

Many of which are fabricated and exaggerated. Which you would soon see for yourself in person.

The ceremony would take place in Constantinople. Before taking you back home to my palace in Tunisia. In which I was gifted land to govern.

We would not have any chance to meet. The day of the wedding would be our first meeting where you walk down the aisle, wearing a lovely white dress. Your face hidden by a white veil.

I stood there, in a white traditional garment, and a long white sleeveless coat falling down onto the ground. With my sword to the waist. Shoulder length hair, with a crown like braid. Light facial hair, defined jaw. Muscular and lean figure.

We say our vows and present our rings. Putting a ring of silver and gold with the most extravagant of diamonds onto your finger.

It’s a day of joyous celebration and the people make merry. The festivities lasting long.

Not once could you reveal yourself to me. Not once could you remove the white veil. Once only we were removed to the bedroom for the night, were you then permitted to reveal yourself and I would see you for the first time. —————————————————————————-
