For this reason, access to these creatures is restricted to the research centers dedicated to their study. The creatures have relatively short lifespans, and have so far shown no methods of reproducing themselves. This drives the research centers to invite volunteers for breeding and research, who are given significant financial compensation. Invitations are rarely advertised, and those who receive them are urged to keep quiet about them, given the nature of the experiments. Invitations like the one that has just been delivered to your hand."
