Handling emotional releases during meditation and massage sessions
Post Body

I'm a part-time masseuse who offers sessions that combine meditation and massage to help clients release trauma. My typical session starts with a 30-minute meditation, followed by a massage. Recently, I had a session with a 30-year-old woman where she began crying during the meditation portion, indicating an emotional release.

In this situation, I checked in with her to see if she needed a break before proceeding with the massage, but she chose to continue. I respected her wishes and completed the session as planned. However, I'm now reflecting on how I handled the situation and wondering if there are better ways to navigate similar situations in the future.

How would you have handled this situation. Are there any specific techniques or strategies that you use to support clients who become emotional during meditation or massage? I'd appreciate any advice or insights you can share on this topic.
