Inspired by u/ResidentHypnoSleeper and their great posts about getting into hypnosis with their girlfriend, I wanted to report on [m]y own journey in erotic hypnosis with my wi[f]e, and maybe get some pointers from readers!

My wife and I just had our first session last night, and I would call it a mixed success.

I followed the Elman induction as covered in "Mind Play" which was a bit of a mixed bag. My wife responded well to the eyelid catalepsy, after which I did about three fractionations, but then the arm drop I could tell she was helping and she also wouldn't lose the numbers during the countdown. I tried extra fractionations and arm drops to get her deeper, but the numbers wouldn't go away and I could always feel her helping when I lifted her arm for the drop. On the fly, I threw in a staircase deepener and tried the balloon pulling up her wrist which worked fairly well.

I gave up on erotic triggers as I felt she wasn't deep enough, and tried installing a reintroduction trigger, ran through setting up a "Safe Place", and then brought her back out. She said she found it enjoyable and felt refreshed, but confirmed that the countdown was not working for her. I don't think the reintroduction trigger stuck very well, and will likely need to reinforce it next time I put her under. I also need alternatives to countdown (I'm thinking the blackboard countdown method from Mind Play) and tips on fractionation.

During the debrief it came up that the balloon on a string and the staircase apparently were the most effective, which makes me think she may be a visual primarily. She noted that she normally has trouble visualizing things, but was able to much more strongly create images in her mind while under which is great to hear! Overall I'm happy with how it went (although am obviously impatient to get to the sexy stuff!) but most importantly we're both excited to try again and keep building on this very fun new kink.
