I want to create a hypnotic audio file but don't want to have my real voice in it for various privacy reasons. I know text to speech is a thing but that can sound kind of tacky and low quality.

AI voices are getting a lot better but are any of them really good enough?

I don't want my subject to be taken out of the experience due to the voice sounding fake or soulless. One idea I had was to lean into the whole robot thing and actually make it intentional, finding an AI voice that sounds robotic in a cool way and not a cheap way--like Hal 9000's voice or something.

I also don't want to spend money on any kind of paid voice service, AI or otherwise.

Any tips welcome.
