Hi,

I've been a hypnotist for about 4 years, and I've always been able to hypnotize subjects and make them suggestible to some degree. I recently started playing with a sub, however, who is manifesting an odd mix of susceptibility and immunity. She publicly posted seeking a tist, and seems to sincerely want to experience hypnosis. Here's where it gets odd.

On the one hand, after we talk consent and lay boundaries, she goes under quiet easily. He muscle behavior and vocal tone seem to indicate she's genuinely under, and she displays the same mental qualities I associate with trance such as lack of initiative.

However, when I have her visualize things, or give her suggestions, though she appears to take them completely while under, when she awakens they have ZERO effect. Pleasure manipulation, phantom touch, roles I tell her to adopt, call and response triggers, everything has no effect at all. She's able to respond to a trigger to drop again, but that's it.

I know the easiest explanation is just that she's yanking my chain, and that's possible, but frankly I believe she's genuinely trying to accept the suggestions, and she seems to actually go under. Any of you ever encounter someone like this? Is there a way to help her experience what trance can do?
